Sometimes a quiet glance says more than many words – only by looking attentively and listening openly do the paths behind the silence reveal themselves.
School absenteeism is not simply staying away from lessons, but often a tentative sign that children and young people are withdrawing from the world because something is missing or weighing heavily on their hearts.
The reasons are as varied and delicate as young lives themselves: inner insecurities, upheavals in the family, the fear of being overlooked, or the longing for a break from what is expected. No absence is like another; each carries its own quiet story.
It takes care and patience to recognise those subtle signs that are rarely loud and yet say so much. Attentive understanding replaces hasty judgement with a mindful togetherness that puts understanding first. From this grows space for support – a place where questions are allowed and worries may be shared.
To offer early orientation in such moments, I have developed a tool that shows, without judging, whether school absenteeism is emerging and which measures can gently take effect. It helps to clarify uncertainties before the situation hardens – it is designed for prevention, never as a tool for an acute crisis. For it is often the small signs that help us find the right path together. If you have questions or are interested in the tool, please get in touch. (The tool is available in German.)

With experience and an open ear, I offer a space where confidence can grow and change can unfold – so that every child is seen on their path and no one is left alone with their questions.
